Since its inception in 1995 by co-founder John Mouton (co-founder of Landmark Graphics), OR has been developing ground-breaking technology and fine tuning a streamlined approach to solving complex reservoir modeling quandaries. Based in Houston, with offices in Canada and Latin America, operators in numerous oil and gas basins around the world have improved reservoir exploitation economics by employing Object Reservoir’s unique technology, workflow, and extensive reservoir characterization expertise.
The TechnologyObject Reservoir’s Austin, TX based Software Development group provides the oil and gas industry with a game-changing technology called Resolve™. OR has cracked the code; Resolve’s underlying technology is based on its ability to apply finite element analytics to multi-phase fluid flow effectively. Over the past six years Object Reservoir has developed the most accurate, robust three-dimensional reservoir characterization modeling technology. Eight patents have been granted both in the United States and internationally, another 21 are pending. |
The ApproachObject Reservoir has worked over 10 years on perfecting a streamlined workflow called Dynamic Reservoir Characterization (DRC™). DRC is enabled by Resolve’s ability to quickly and accurately assess multiple scenarios. The principle behind OR’s DRC is to start as simply as possible (while achieving accurate matches), then to only add complexity where it is needed. This streamlined approach allows for answers to complicated problems in a fraction of the time versus traditional methods enabling operators to develop an earlier understanding of the performance of individual completions and generate more reliable forecasts from early production data. |
ServicesObject Reservoir employs a multidisciplinary team of oil and gas experts that help E&P companies utilize the trademarked Resolve technology and DRC workflow. Our service projects range in scope and complexity, from theoretical single-well modeling to modeling 50+ wells and estimating reserves (partnered with DeGolyer and MacNaugton) across an entire play. Object Reservoir is also currently hosting several Collaborative Exploitation Projects (CEPs) across North America. CEPs are multi-company collaborative projects that deliver best practices for the exploitation of shale assets. |
